My general reaction is that in the post-COVID world, courts and lawyers handle delays and closures pretty well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 Michael Sklaire<\/a>, co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig\u2019s Northern Virginia office, in comments given to the National Law Journal<\/a>, ahead of the winter storm that prompted the closure of state and federal courts across multiple states, including Illinois, Ohio, Maryland, and Virginia. Sklaire continued, noting that D.C. litigators would handle matters appropriately, \u201c[w]hether through remote testimony or extended days.\u201d He concluded, saying, \u201c[E]veryone knows that January in D.C. brings challenges and prepare for that.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
