—  Dean Benjamin Barros of Stetson University College of Law, in comments given to Reuters, concerning the law school’s new summer start program, which will allow new students to use the existing student loan system throughout their studies. According to the Department of Education, those who take out federal loans prior to July will be grandfathered into the system that’s set to be done away with. Thereafter, the new student loan program for professional degrees will be capped at $50,000 a year and $200,000 in total, which could push students into taking out private loans.
