“ICE has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence,” U.S. District Chief Judge Patrick J. Schiltz wrote in an order blasting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for repeatedly failing to immediately release detainees who had their habeas corpus petitions granted by Minnesota federal jurists.
