We’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for a firm to match Milbank’s special bonuses since they were first announced on July 27. Here we are at the end of September, and we’ve finally got our first taker.
It’s Cahill Gordon & Reindel, a firm famous for handing out larger-than-life bonuses to its hardworking associates. In a memo associates received yesterday, the firm’s executive committee made sure to thank everyone for their “extraordinary efforts.”
Before we get to the scale, we’ll just say that of course Cahill is matching the Milbank bonuses. As noted by Bloomberg Law, the firm is on track for its third straight year of revenue growth, with double-digit gains expected after revenue reached $502 million last year. Profits per partner, meanwhile, approached a very healthy $6 million in 2025. With numbers like those, associates would have noticed if Cahill suddenly misplaced its checkbook.
That said, here’s what the bonuses looks like at Cahill:
Special bonuses at the firm are set to be paid out on October 15.
