Jay Clayton, the Sullivan & Cromwell lawyer President Donald Trump has picked to serve as Manhattan’s top prosecutor, disclosed he drew a more than $6.7 million salary and bonus from the firm in the year leading up to his nomination, according to a newly released financial disclosure report obtained by Law.com.

Clayton, whom Trump has selected to serve as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, revealed the figure in a disclosure about his assets and income, a report that is mandatory as part of the nomination process. The disclosure details Clayton’s income from the past calendar year and up through the date he completed the report in 2025.
