Harvard is a threat to Democracy, with a lawyer, who represents me, who should therefore be forced to resign, immediately, or be fired. He’s not that good, anyway. I hope that my very big and beautiful company, now run by my sons, gets rid of him ASAP.
— An excerpt from Donald Trump’s latest rant on Truth Social, where he goes after Quinn Emanuel’s global co-managing partner William Burck. Burck is currently representing Harvard University in its litigation against the Trump administration over its multibillion-dollar research funding freeze. He also serves as outside ethics adviser for the Trump Organization. As noted by Bloomberg Law, when Burck was hired for the role in January, Eric Trump praised him as “one of the nation’s finest and most respected lawyers.” Hours later, the younger Trump confirmed his father’s thoughts, saying of Burck in a comment given to CNN, “I view it as a conflict and I will be moving in a different direction.”
