Homeowners affected by the Palisades and Eaton wildfires in Los Angeles have sued the United Services Automobile Association (USAA) and American Automobile Association (AAA), contending that the insurance companies committed “systemic” fraud by misrepresenting the extent of their coverage and under-insuring their members by hundreds of thousands of dollars and, in some cases, over $1 million, leaving them unable to afford rebuilding or replacing their homes.
