“Due to the substantial prejudice caused by this settlement and DOJ’s abrupt exit after taking the lead role up to and during the first week of trial, a mistrial is warranted,” more than 20 plaintiff states wrote in a motion for a mistrial after the U.S. Department of Justice informed a Manhattan federal judge that the Justice Department will no longer participate in the antitrust jury trial proceedings against defendants Live Nation and Ticketmaster.
