A U.S. Senate committee on Thursday narrowly approved the nomination of veteran general counsel Janet Dhillon to lead the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp.
The 12-11 vote of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions split along party lines. Her nomination now advances to the full Senate for consideration.
