Chicago’s Climate Suit Against Big Oil in Legal Limbo as Court Mulls Jurisdiction

The city of Chicago said Tuesday it would not oppose the oil companies’ emergency motion to temporarily keep the case in federal court, but it opposed letting the case flounder if the defendants appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
