FORT WORTH, TX—The School Law Section of the State Bar of Texas has recognized Mr. Thomas E. Myers with this award on July 22, 2022.

The Kelly Frels Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes attorneys who have made outstanding contributions to the practice of school law and for their lifetime contributions to the School Law Section.

Mr. Myers began his career working as an Assistant District Attorney with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office. During his years in civil practice, he has represented boards of numerous independent school districts, charter schools, and private and independent schools and now has practiced school law for over 25 years.

He advises public and private educational entities in all aspects of school law including construction, real estate, personnel, student discipline appeals, open government, and employment and business contracts.
