WASHINGTON, D.C.—The law firm of Baker Donelson has expanded its Corporate Group with the addition of Alex Marriott as of counsel in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Mr. Marriott concentrates his practice on aviation transactional, regulatory, and policy matters, as well as competition issues within the aviation industry.

Mr. Marriott counsels and represents airlines, airports, and related industries on a wide range of matters before the Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and Department of State (DOS). He has extensive experience in the start-up of new airlines, guiding them through regulatory processes to obtain economic authority from the DOT, technical approvals from the FAA, and approvals from the DHS and its components, along with addressing issues under international bilateral aviation agreements and aviation treaties.
