On Friday, lawyers in the multidistrict litigation over aqueous film-forming foam announced the Tyco settlement, which would compensate 12,000 public water systems nationwide with contaminated drinking water supplies.

       

Tyco has agreed to pay $750 million to settle lawsuits by thousands of public water systems nationwide with contaminated drinking water supplies.

On Friday, lead class counsel announced the settlement, which compensates an estimated 12,000 public water systems and follows similar agreements with DuPont, for $1.19 billion, and 3M, for up to $12.5 billion.
