Beasley Allen’s Andy Birchfield, whose firm has led opposition to another talc bankruptcy, acknowledged to Law.com: “I would be really surprised if J&J were to lose this vote.”

Rhonda McKey plans to vote for Johnson & Johnson’s prepackaged bankruptcy plan on Friday because, having endured three surgeries and two rounds of chemotherapy since being diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021, she wants her life back.

“It was a very long battle. It was a very hard battle,” McKey, 54, told Law.com. “I’m still alive. I want to live. I want to have something that gives me something besides feeling like I’m surviving every day. A little piece of mind.”
